• Stay on topic: delivery science, formulation, characterisation, assays, translation and careers in the field.
• Be respectful. Critique methods and data, not people.
• Cite sources for factual claims and make clear what is your own unpublished opinion.
• Declare relevant conflicts of interest, including commercial ties to products you discuss.
• Use your real name and affiliation; one account per person.

• Harassment, discrimination, threats or personal attacks.
• Patient-identifiable or other health data, and other people’s personal contact details.
• Confidential, embargoed or proprietary information you are not authorised to share.
• Content that infringes copyright, including full-text copies of paywalled papers.
• Instructions that could enable serious harm, such as enhancing pathogens or weaponising biological agents.
• Spam, undisclosed advertising, recruitment for paid services or repeated self-promotion.
• Individual medical advice. The Q&A covers research questions and is not a clinical service.

Verified specialists answer in a personal, scientific capacity. Answers are general research guidance, not validated protocols, regulatory advice or medical advice, and do not create a consulting relationship.

• Every post and reply has a Report link. Reports go to our moderation team at [email protected].
• We review reports within two working days, and sooner for anything that may be unlawful or unsafe.
• Depending on severity, we may edit or remove content, issue a warning, suspend posting or close an account.
• Content that appears unlawful may be removed immediately and, where required, reported to the authorities.

If your content is removed or your account restricted, we will tell you why by email. You can appeal by replying within 14 days; a different moderator will review the decision.

You keep ownership of what you post and give us permission to display it to signed-in members. You can download your data or delete your account at any time from Your profile. See the privacy policy for details.
